We’re excited to share that an update is coming soon for our BetterMerge<\/strong> add-on for Google Sheets\u2122 (and our web dashboard too!). We’re focused on making your first experience \u2013 and every experience \u2013 as smooth and straightforward as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You might recall that when installing BetterMerge add-on, you (or your domain administrator) would grant initial permissions, and then you\u2019d see another permission alert when you launched the add-on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Good news \u2013 we’re streamlining this! To enhance your experience and align with Google’s guidelines for a simpler setup, BetterMerge will soon use a single permission step<\/strong>. When you install the add-on, or use it for the first time after this update, you’ll see just one clear screen<\/strong> for all the permissions needed for its core features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This means once you approve these permissions, you can dive straight into using BetterMerge’s core functionalities without any further Google permission prompts from the add-on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When this update rolls out, the next time you open the BetterMerge<\/strong> add-on in Google Sheets\u2122, it will ask you to approve its permissions again<\/strong>. This is simply a quick, one-time confirmation<\/strong> to transition you to this improved, simpler system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you notice a few extra permissions listed this time, please don’t worry! These are the same permissions that were previously in that second step, now conveniently grouped into one. They’re all essential for BetterMerge to continue working effectively for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our web dashboard, where you can access more advanced features (soon), will also have an updated login process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Our goal is always to make BetterMerge powerful yet easy to use.
