Introduction

Google sets daily email sending limits to prevent spam and abuse. These limits depend on your account type and cannot be changed by BetterMerge or any third-party tool.

Google’s Email Sending Limits

Google enforces the following maximum daily sending limits:

These are rolling 24-hour limits, not calendar-day resets. If you send 500 emails at 3 PM, your quota replenishes at 3 PM the next day.

What Happens When You Reach Your Daily Quota

BetterMerge counts every recipient it sends to against your daily quota and never tries to send past it. Your BetterMerge quota resets at midnight in your time zone (Google’s own limit, described above, is a rolling 24 hours).

Paid plans (Lite, Plus, Pro): If your campaign has more recipients than your remaining quota, BetterMerge sends what it can today and automatically continues the campaign after midnight, day by day, until it finishes. You do not need to do anything.
Free plan: When you reach 50 emails for the day, BetterMerge pauses the campaign. Resume it to send the next batch of up to 50; if you resume before midnight, it waits and starts sending after midnight. It pauses again when that day’s 50 have gone out. Upgrade to a paid plan to have large campaigns continue on their own.

Before you start a campaign, the Summary tab and the start confirmation show how many emails will go out today and how many days the rest will take.

The Dashboard shows your remaining quota at a glance.
The Usage page, in the left menu, shows how many emails you have sent over time.

Emails you send manually from Gmail do not appear in BetterMerge’s count, but they still count toward Google’s own limit. If you send a lot of regular email, leave some headroom.

Google counts every recipient, not just emails sent. If you send 10 emails with 1 CC recipient each, that’s 20 recipients total (10 TO + 10 CC).
