Is email tracking free?
Yes. Open and click tracking are included on every BetterMerge plan, including the free plan with 50 emails a day.
How does open tracking work?
BetterMerge adds a tiny invisible image to each email. When the recipient opens the email and images load, the open is recorded. This is the standard method used by email tracking tools.
Is open tracking 100% accurate?
No tool can promise that. Some email apps block images, which hides opens, and some privacy features load images automatically, which can add opens. Click tracking is more reliable, which is why BetterMerge tracks both.
Can I track replies and bounces?
Yes, on the Plus and Pro plans. Reply and bounce detection is an optional feature that our support team helps you set up, because it needs access to your mailbox that the main app does not have.
Does BetterMerge read my Gmail inbox?
No. Open and click tracking work without any mailbox access. BetterMerge only requests permission to send email.
